The turmoil in the mid-east goes far beyond who the rightful owners of the lands in question belong to. The Arabs vehemently believe that Ishmael - as the first son of Abraham - was the rightful heir to all the land God promised to give to Abraham. The Jews likewise believe just as strongly that Isaac - although the second son of Abraham - was the son God chose to be the legimate heir of Abraham. The Bible records for all time, the fact that Issac was the son God chose to be the rightful heir of Abraham. However, as far as the Arabs are concerned, this issue will never be settled until they occupy every square inch of land they believe belongs to them. Sadly, the real root problem between the Arabs and the Jews, is never reported on the news or in the newspapers. That problem, stems from Satan's intense hatred for the Jews because the Messiah came through the Jewish people. Either knowingly or unknowingly, (the most likely scenario) the Arabs are playing right into Satan's hand. Satan's goal is to innililate every Jewish person upon the face of the earth. And although he will not succeed, he will kill many innocent people in his long war against God. Not until the Prince of Peace comes back to earth and reclaims it as His own, will there be peace in the mid-east. Until then the Bible tells us to "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem" - Psalm 122:6.
